Project 5: Lisnarick Walkway to our Lough

Project Partner: Lisnarick Community Development Association & Fermanagh and Omagh District Council | Theme: Improving Access

Lisnarick is a small rural village close to the shores of Lower Lough Erne, however villagers are currently unable to access the Lough Shore from the village. This project will develop a path from the village connecting to Castle Archdale Forest Park and provide access to the Lough.

Project 5: Lisnarick Walkway to our Lough

Project Partner: Lisnarick Community Development Association & Fermanagh and Omagh District Council
Theme: Improving Access

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (on behalf of Lisnarick Community Development Association) in partnership with Lough Erne Landscape Partnership and Sport NI are planning to build a walkway that will link the village of Lisnarick with Castle Archdale Country Park. The route will enable users to travel between Lisnarick village to Castle Archdale Country Park on a linear route, but a shorter looped route will also be available to those who just want to enjoy a walk in the beautiful countryside.

This project is planned to be delivered during 2020.

Once constructed the village association will host several built and natural heritage events to attract users from around the region and engage tourists and park visitors.
